Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef, 80/20
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for topping
Instructions
- Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Use your hands or a spoon to mix the ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal parts and shape each part into a ball. Flatten each ball into a patty.
- Add the patties to the grill and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until they're cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- While the burgers are cooking, cook the bacon slices in a pan over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Once the burgers are cooked, assemble the BBQ Bacon Burgers by spreading a layer of BBQ sauce on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked patty, a few slices of bacon, some shredded cheese, and finally the top bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
- Consider toasting the buns on the grill or in a toaster for added crunch.
