Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef, 80/20
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup (115g) pasta of your choice
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp (5g) dried oregano
- 1 tsp (5g) paprika
- 1/2 tsp (2g) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) black pepper
- 1 cup (115g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp (30g) olive oil
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the diced onion and cook until it's translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until it's browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Drain the excess fat from the skillet, then add the diced tomatoes, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Add the pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine with the beef and tomato mixture. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the pasta is al dente.
- Reduce heat to low, then top the skillet with the shredded cheddar cheese. Cover the skillet with a lid and let the cheese melt, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the lid and serve the Cheeseburger Skillet hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
