Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef, 80/20
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup (115g) pasta of your choice
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup (115g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup (55g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon (15g) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30g) olive oil
- 1 cup (240ml) beef broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat and add the diced onion. Cook until the onion is translucent and starting to brown.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Cook until the beef is browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drain the excess fat from the skillet and add the diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, and dried oregano. Stir to combine.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, beef mixture, and shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the pasta mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish and top with additional shredded cheese.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
